Belichick Golfs With Nick Saban

So, apparently Bill Belichick is a pretty solid golfer.  He made the cut at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week.  However, the real story is that Bill played the round next to Alabama coach Nick Saban.  I am sure the topic of football came up at some point.

My question is, which one of Saban's guys did they talk about most?

Was it the electrifying DE Courtney Upshaw?

Or maybe Belichick wanted a bit of inside info on S Mark Barron, seeing that Barron will miss the combine due to double hernia surgery, I think that Bill had a few questions about this guy that could fill the Patriots' weakest position.

Perhaps Bill was going a bit deeper looking for late round guys like C William Vlachos?  Considering both Koppen and Connolly are free agents, BB may scoop a center in the draft and let one of those guys walk.

Let us not forget about CB Dre Kirkpatrick, the big physical junior.  No one is quite sure if Ras-I Dowling can stay healthy, so maybe Bill is looking to draft a few more options for the future.

Knowing Bill, he probably wanted to know what these guys are like in practice and preparation.  Anyone can watch tape of a prospect and identify his strengths and weaknesses, but Saban's true value in scouting these guys is that he has worked closely with them for a few years.  Hopefully Saban had a few good insights for Belichick because it would be a welcome sight to see any of these Alabama guys come to Foxboro.
