Stats Are For Losers - Colts

In week 11, I am pretty confident that it is what it is as far as statistical trends go. At this point, its pretty obvious that these 2012 Patriots are having a tough time getting off the field on 3rd and 4th downs. Likewise, this team is very susceptible to the pass, and as of now we're allowing a better completion percentage than tom Brady is giving us. Hopefully today is the first step in the right direction, as its Aqib Talib's first game today.

As far as the matchup goes, these Colts are going to be tough. Compared to last week's opponent, The Bills, they are superior in nearly every defensive category. However, just like The Bills, The Colts have not been able to turn the ball over on Defense. The Patriots Defense has forced over 4 times more fumbles, and more than twice as many INTs. Turnovers will be key to this game, and The Patriots need to prove that they can keep these numbers up through the rest of the season.

The Colts are an underrated Defense, and their stats are very good in terms of yards. However, they are surrendering points while not turning it over. However, The Colts have stayed in games this year by getting off the field on 3rd down and sacking the QB.

Offensively, The Colts have been up and down. Andrew Luck's completion percentage reflects his inconsistency. His 9 INTs are 3 times as many as Tom Brady's. Still, he's playing The Patriots so anything can happen. The key will be to force mistakes while avoiding deep plays. You know, the usual formula. I expect Luck to throw for over 300 yards, but he'll probably also make a mistake and turn it over.
