Lloyd, Fells, and Tebow?

The Patriots solidified the receiving corps by adding a legitimate outside threat in Brandon Lloyd, and a versatile tight end in Daniel Fells.  Both players signed for three year deals.  The three year contract seems to be the longest the Pats are willing to extend themselves, and this seems to be concurrent with the Brady championship window.

Belichick is making a run for it, and he is finding mid-level talent to solidify positions of need.  I expect him to take high-risk and high-reward picks in the draft to add talent to the front end of the roster.  He has DT Luis Castillo coming in for a visit this week, and he has met with La'ron Landry.  He is starting to go after players with higher profiles as free agency moves along.  Nevertheless, Lloyd and Fells are excellent additions.

Now, there is speculation that Tim Tebow could be traded after Peyton Manning inks his deal with the Broncos.  Most of the speculation points toward Jacksonville and New England.  Most of this story is driven by the Josh McDaniels factor, but I really don't see this working out.  Acquiring Tebow would give us 4 QBs on the roster, so a trade of Hoyer or Mallet would have to happen.

Also, what is the point of adding a distraction to the locker room when there is no need at QB. Tebow will be utilized in goal line packages and in offensive wrinkles, but would he be worth it?  I don't know if there would be a good spot on offense for Tebow.  Our roster now has Lloyd, Welker, Gronkowski, Hernandez as the primary options.  Is it plausible that Tebow could be used as a RB in a package?  He has the size and running ability, but can he pass protect and run routes and catch?

I would be willing to try Tebow at various spots on offense, but I don't want to get too fancy with the offense.  I am not willing to institute a steady dose of wildcat offense because our traditional offense is so effective with Brady.
